Fabio Albergati

Fabio Albergati was born in Bologna in 1538 of an ancient and noble family. In 1589 he was sent by Sistus V as Ambassador to Duke Francesco Maria of Urbino and, in 1591, Pope Innocence IX appointed him Governor of Perugia. He died in 1606. Political writer and moralist, he was very well known during his time: Del modo di ridurre alla pace le inimicizie private (1583); Ragionamento al cardinal Sisto in Tesoro Politico (1958 edition, from p. 237 to 254); Le Morali (1626).
